Bad Breath

January 13, 2009

Hi, it's Dr. Shahid.  Welcome back to our blog site.  Today's topic -- Bad Breath!

Bad breath, also know as halitosis, is caused by many factors, the most common of which are inadequate oral hygiene, failing dental restorations, diet, or systemic disorders.

Poor oral health, advanced tooth decay, or gum disease may result in bad breath, that range from offensive to fetid.  For many, bad breath is caused by the accumulation of bacteria, lodging in the ridges of the tongue.  Incorporating a tongue scraper into a regular oral hygiene program will help decrease the problem.  Dental care for your gums and teeth will also significantly decrease halitosis, and result in overall good health.

To find out what your causes are, you need a complete dental examination, along with X-rays, to determine what the best solutions are for you.

To learn more about Breath Care solutions, and other pain-free solutions to your dental concerns, call us.  My staff and I are concerned about what you want, and we will help you achieve your goals and desires, in a comfortable and professional setting.  For a complimentary exam and consultation, call us today at             201-384-0100!

I'll talk to you next time.

Dr. Shahid

This blog is short yet informative and straight to the point regarding the problem on bad breath. Halitosis causes embarrassment for those who suffer from it. Sometimes, the cause of bad breath is due to what we eat. This is because is can affect the air you exhale. Bad breath can also be caused by dry mouth. Most especially, a person suffers from bad breath because of poor oral hygiene. Indeed the dentist can help those with halitosis in giving the best solution for this problem. Dentist San Jose
